For some reason I only notice Australian accents in films, and they sound bad. American accent sounds normal in tv/film, but when ever I hear them in real life they sound funny. I really love the accent in True Grit, is that accent the best? I think I want to make that my accent.

You want a Missourian accent. We don't really have one...

I can do a really good Indian accent. I learned how by watching Short Circuit a million times as a kid.
I can also do a pretty good Del Preston accent.
IMO

I'm getting better at it, it's difficult to change your head's thinking accent though.

Damon's Texan accent was ok, it sounded like what you might hear in the far eastern part of the state. If a resident here has a thick accent I can usually place them (such as east, Panhandle, D-FW, Houston, Austin/San Antonio, far west, and south), but, especially due to the massive influx of people in the past couple decades, with many people here we sound a lot more like the "neutral American" accent with perhaps the faintest twang or drawl...for me, the only time mine comes out is with words like "wall" and "fall," where the l's get dragged a bit.

When speaking English, I try to speak with a British accent, rather than the American one that non native English speakers usually speak with. I think I'm doing an okay job at talking British, but I realise I am by no means anywhere near to a native speaker.

I'm not very good at adopting other accents when I speak English (other than the Texan ones I mentioned), but when I learn other languages I'm good at picking up the accents.
