Needless to say, I think the majority of us have been to many shows. I go to one almost every week. Tell us your favorite show experience, be it big or small, and I will shamelessly plug my own band at some undetermined point...

The best show I've been to was in Ann Arbour, Michigan.
It was Agalloch, with Musk Ox supporting back in 2012. It was in a small, claustrophobic venue where there really wasn't even a stage, but I was upfront just soaking in the music. The Atmosphere of that show was great, everyone at the show and the band themselves were fantastic people.
Oh I also saw Alexisonfire when they were doing their last tour together. That show was nuts.

I think musically my favourite show was Mono and the Holy Ground Orchestra in London a couple of years ago. Just amazing. Atmospherically it goes to Amanda Palmer and the Grand Theft Orchestra in Birmingham in 2012. Crowd polite but fun, Amanda crowdsurfed and I touched her boob.

Getting drenched with "blood" in Gwar's moshpits has been pretty excellent. I've seen them a few times. (RIP Oderus Urungus and Flattus Maximus.) Seeing my sister kick a guy in the face in the moshpit for Becoming The Archetype was pretty epic too haha. More recently I saw Sonata Arctica which were one of the first metal bands I discovered and they were great. (Do I have to turn in my metal card for liking power metal???)

Muse win it for pure spectacle, they've been absolutely incredible show every time I've seen them. I still haven't seen a band that has been more crushing than Celtic Frost were when I saw them with Kreator years ago - not even SunnO))) were as heavy. Crimson Moonlight at Nordic Fest 2011 was pretty special in terms fo atmosphere. Other than that, the Mono show that Clare mentioned earlier was beautiful. Probably helps that Hymn To The Immortal Wind is one of my favourite albums of all time, and a large chunk of the setlist was from that.
