OK guys, some of you have it, and the rest should get it tomorrow! Talk about it here.
I got mine last night, and its fantastic. Definitely BTAs best work to date. Not 1 song feels out of place, rushed or boring.
End of the age just blew me away! Fantastic lyrics, fantastic music. I got goosebumps and nearly cried.

Pros -
- Wisdom's vocals are absolutely unrelenting and passionate - acoustic/keyboard interludes - most synths are great - It's vintage BTA, impossible not to growl along and headbang to
Cons - Ryan Clarks guest vocals are annoying - riffs and drumming are weak at points - still no "epic" song that comes close to Elegy

oh get your mind off elegy already.
if you ask me i would say i think elegy was too repetitive. i'm not say its not good. in fact i think its really good. but my favorite song by them? definitely not so.

I have to agree with irreversible..Sure, Elegy is a really good song, but I don't feel it's quite as epic as everyone makes it out to be. One of the main reasons it is so long is because they repeat each riff like 20 times. I think a song that focuses on integrating many elements into its core is more epic than a song that's just really long..

Elegy was awesome, but I agree. By current BTA standards, it was a rough draft of the sound that would come later. Anywho...The album is amazing, extremely diverse and musically mature. It's classic BTA epic, creatively progressive, but there's one thing it accomplishes that both previous records lack. It's just straight up heavy, in an extremely tasteful way.

yupp.. that's my point i mean, long tracks arent the main thing to me. i feel its the evolution of bta's sound. that length is just not the main thing i'm looking for anymore.. and vansan i totally agree with you on that...

Elegy happens to be my, probably forever, favourite BTA song .... one of my favourite songs of all time for that matter. It was Elegy that got me hooked on BTA, and I still believe it was their greatest composition to date.
Either way, opinions differ, clearly, and I hold nothin against that. Hell, musical diversity is a key element in the industry and for all those who enjoy it. Yay diversity.
As for Dichotomy, whilst I haven't heard the whole album yet, from what I have heard (via myspace), my only concerns are that it sounds a wee bit over-produced for my liking ... it lacks the TD clarity that hits, and hits hard. Dichotomy is brutal, no word of a lie, but it feels too ... processed, to me. Takes away from the musical beauty of it. Wicked songs though, absolutly brilliant song-writing, some epic breakdowns (i.e. Artificial Immorality at 4:00) and all-over solid structuring.

Dichotomy is an album full of great music, and I would say that it's the best music they've created so far.
But above all of that this album is full of music that glorifies God very blatantly, in word lyrics and sound. So thank you BTA for being the best example that I've seen so far of what true Christian Metal is and should be.
Anyone else hear Aslan in "End Of The Age"?

OMG this album is stunning as a whole. Really, the individual songs do Dichotomy no justice at all.
The End of the Age...omg what a song. ASLAN!!!

Dichotomy rules with an iron fist! So does the photo above! I'm really pumped on the return of Jon. Alex was cool, but it was way different with the clean vox. Ryan Clark didnt really need to be on it, but other than that, it is classic BTA!!! Wisdom's vocals are better than ever. For this genre, you can clearly understand the lyrics and I seriously applaud the band for their unabashed Christian lyrics. I am tired of Christian bands playing the "I'm Christian" card and giving us tracks that are so ambiguous that they could be anti-christian. You walk the WALK. God bless you and provide for you all. Great job BTA! cant wait til the tour! Please pick good bands to go out with and may your journey be blessed and Anointed! See you in Sacramento...soon I hope! Ezekiel/Bass4JC

Yea, I gotta say after several listens that this is really an example of Christian metal SHOULD sound like. It's unique, powerful and uplifting. It really delivers that message of hope and redemption they've always been about.

i think the last minute of Self-Existent and the chorus of Mountain of Souls are epic enough for the whole album. I think its wayyyyyyy better than Physics and it is better than TD in ways but still missing something. I can't figure out what it is.
