Morals are good for the benefit of humanity If there is no God, than I disagree. There just wouldn't be any lasting accountability. Any sort of 'standard' or 'moral' would be no more than something that is perhaps socially advantageous, or maybe personally gratifying. In the long run, existence would not require one to be good or bad. Those concepts would not exist if I am but matter and energy in the universe that is fated for universal heat death.

@brent You keep this forum alive my friend. Had you not kept posting stuff I'de have prolly left haha. Anywho Ide like to assess your original topic (as I have not been really paying a ton of attention to this other off topic babble). Do you expect to qualify your mindset by posting a video tagged with no more than "This guy is a douche"? On the contrary, you make me think less of your claim right off the bat because of such crass, unjustified words. Moving on...I fail to see why this man is a "douche" or, as some have said, "gives the rest of us Christians a terrible name". Ide like to present my differing opinion by posing a question to you: Would it be wrong if I came to your home and shot your mother in the arm twice before slitting her throat?... then subsequently hung 40,000 blacks on trees outside, followed by me suffocating my mom? (Cuz it was never addressed)

I never addressed it because of asinine it is.
1. The title was half-serious, sometimes you need to gather attention to the thread with a "controversial" title
2. His reasoning has been refuted by Christians, I don't even have to add anything else. The guy is hilariously bad at arguing
3. No it wouldn't, I'd like to see you try though. People may be stupid in some aspects, but people who are mentally balanced understand that there are consequences for crimes. You only live once, people make decisions based upon pros and cons. If the pros outweigh the cons then they do it. For example
Killing someone you hate:
Pros: you take their life
Cons: no more freedom, possibility of getting ass-raped in jail and/or beaten to death
so yeah, pretty sure the cons are too much to take

but for like, suicide bombers, they're gullible enough to think they'll be rewarded for killing people so they do it. There is no perceived consequence, as their mortal life will end but they will become immortal and have all dem virgin laydez

Our society views violence as bad, so it affects our desires to not be violent. You're pretty much stuffed even if you did want to kill lots of people - go play some games instead.

We all need to vent emotions like frustration, anger, and annoyance. Some people just take it further than others. You're right, some people let off steam by playing games, hell, that's what my brother does. I just think personally than any violent act is not worth it in the long run. Beating my sister with a frying pan for example, I would like to, but I'm not because of the consequences.

What if you could get away with it? Maybe not beating my sister with a frying pan but I mean something that would usually have negative consequences.

I've never had a sister, I wonder what it would be like - probably be awesome than just having brothers.
