Visited the local record shop. I haven't reported any of my purchases here. Cds are cheap. I buy by look and curiosity. My cd collection went from about 50 to 250 in one year. It's cheaper than crack, and generally less harmful. Today's purchase NIN - The Downward Spiral Becoming the Archetype - Celestial Completion (heard it sucks lulz) I actually grabbed it at the register out of the box the chick was unpacking, put it on the register and said "ring me up, ****." Well, without the "****" part. EDIT: HOLY CRAP. I looked at the release date and realized I have Celestial Completion a full 4 days ahead of the rest of you jerks. I need to take things out of boxes and buy them more often. 1 - that NIN album is f**king awesome. 2 - you lucky bastard. I have most everything NIN ever produced thanks to an ex. I guess I'm glad that's one of the only things she gave me while I was with her, but that's another story. I have to say my favorite always has been and always will be Pretty Hate Machine. Listening to Trent write about Nihilism has really helped my own struggles with it.

I've never got round to buying anything else of theirs, but The Downward Spiral has been getting a lot of play by me recently.

Utilized some coupons for Divine Metal Distro and Hellride Music and bought Faith's three albums. And speaking of DMD and traditional doom, they have available the re-release of Place of Skulls' "Love Through Blood" EP which is absolutely amazing and I highly suggest it. They also have Under the Sun's album which is really solid too.

Faith - "Sorg" came in the mail yesterday. It's a solid album of traditional/epic doom metal that is quite eclectic but not scattered. The Vintersorg album is pretty good too. It continues in the style of Solens Rotter but is perhaps a little stronger overall. I'm looking forward to the new Njiqahdda album arriving...

The Vintersorg album is pretty good too. It continues in the style of Solens Rotter but is perhaps a little stronger overall. Interesting! I thought Solens Rotter was one of his stronger solo outputs, if not his strongest, and everything following would obviously would be a bit of a step below. And that's how I feel right now with Jordpuls. It's not bad at all, but it doesn't have the hooks. Anyway, I have Amorphis' The Beginning of Times, Symphony X's Iconoclast (two-disc), and Death's Human reissue on the way.
