Thank you Ghost! So here's the latest project. For the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship leaders Christmas party (wow that's a mouthful) we exchanged "talents" rather than doing a typical white-elephant gift exchange. I gave one free wire sculpture of whatever you choose. My friend got my gift and wanted me to make the Queen Alien from the movie "Aliens." So here's the picture I worked from: And here's what I made! It looks much better in person, I can assure you. Thoughts? He's gonna like it a lot I think.

I made this for my fiance: It's a little bit bent up because it's been in his wallet for months.

Dang Feather! That's amazing! It looks very professionally done - like something that you would buy at a fancy art-store. How did you get the swirls so nice and tight? I love the colors that you used too. The red accents the silver perfectly and the pearl in the middle looks great! That is just absolutely awesome.

The red beads are supposed to symbolize his blood. The pearl is his purity. I used to make sets of three with two smaller crosses on either side with a black pearl in the center. The cross is actually small. It's only about 2 1/2 inches tall. I couldn't get a picture of the detail without getting it close-up. And getting the spirals tight is easy if you fold over the very tip of the wire and pinch it flat, then wrap the wire around that.
It's not horribly impressive if you know that's the only thing I can even remotely make with wire. I'm not very creative.
