Well, they'll have to figure something out, charging 10 batteries that weigh 10 lbs or more each and having to replace them depending on the car can get spendy. The ones that use those specialized power cells are even more expensive...
I'm sure it'll get better, but for now its just like the E85 dedicated cars and trucks, its new, its not refined technology, but it will get better with time.

I think, for now, fundamentally we have to think of ways of reducing our use of cars themselves. I know lots of people who drive when they could definitely walk. I had a friend who would drive to and from school every day, when it was only a 10 minute walk.

Exxon Mobil made more money last year than any US Corporation has ever made in one year... Which means the price that we're paying at the pumps is marked up enough that they had the ability to make that much of a profit. "NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Exxon Mobil Corp. Thursday reported the biggest annual profit on record for a U.S. corporation - earning more than $75,000 every minute of 2006 on the back of record oil prices." There are laws that prohibit jacking up the prices to unreasonable amounts... Anybody remember when they were charging $4 and $5 a gallon? A lot of those gas stations were shut down. I believe the limit on it should be lowered even further, make it illegal to raise it above... Whatever a reasonable amount for it would be now that crude's gone up... I dunno, $1.80? I'm positive that there's gotta be something I'm missing, but I don't see why they're not capable of putting restrictions on it. Obviously it's legal to, because they've already put some... I just think they ought to be tighter... at least until the economy gets somewhat of a footing. I really have no room to complain, because I can't drive... Because I can't get a license, because I don't have a SSN... They're supposed to issue me a number and I'm supposed to have it in a week or two. Then I will be enraged over the prices.
