'Let no unwholesome talk leaveth thine mouth" Swearing is pretty unwholesome, so take that! "Unwholesome" in this case I would say is subjective... especially because the word in question is a word which, in and of itself (disregarding context) is not unwholesome, but a reference to something perfectly real and normal.

'Let no unwholesome talk leaveth thine mouth" Swearing is pretty unwholesome, so take that! "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" Good argumention! I'm sure you convinced Metzuda! I always wonder this as well. But... different people are able to do different things without compromising themselves. Myself... I don't even want to listen to that s**t. Those that do so, understand the fact that nothing anyone says, satanic or no, is going to have any sort of impact on their all powerful God. Things like "evil satanic music" only have power over you if you give them said power. Also, foul language, -10 Christian points. Yes, I think that's what Jesus would do, listen to music that hates Him. I'm sorry bro, the world is black and white, and satanic music is black, and as a Christian we ought to be white. I didn't want to go and be preachy here, but I just don't see your logic for this one at all. Corinthians 6:12-15: "Everyting is permissible for me" - but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me" - but I will not be mastered by anything. "Food for the stomach, and the stomach for food" - but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Though this passage is specifically about sexual immorality, as far as I'm concerned one can use it for everything. I most sincerely doubt you think Christ would listen satanic music, so neither should anybody who calls himself a Christian That's what, as far as I can see, the only sensible approach to applying the bible to our lives will result in.

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" You realize he is an Atheist right? Furthermore, you shouldn't be judging those of us who listen to Satanic music if that doctrine is so very important to you. Great sarcasm! I'm sure you are showing the love of Jesus Christ incredibly well through this! Learn about Shiv as a poster and then start responding to him. There was a guy on firestream that wrote a really good post about how Satanic music actually helps his faith. I don't know his name, or where to find the thread, because I don't post there; but maybe Ethan or Shiv can link it here?

Furthermore, you shouldn't be judging those of us who listen to Satanic music if that doctrine is so very important to you. Yea I do know he is an Atheïst, I gues your right a bibleverse is not the best way to point out that I think it would be better to stick to the topic, than to hammer on this. Furthermore, I don't judge you, I judge the Christians who say they listen to satanic music, because I am of the opinion that there is no plank in my eye concerning this matter. Please show me otherwise if there is. Great sarcasm! I'm sure you are showing the love of Jesus Christ incredibly well through this! Learn about Shiv as a poster and then start responding to him. I didn't mean to offend anybody, but this comment irritated me a little. I don't think I came over offensive or hateful by replying with sarcasm. Then again, I'm not the one who is supposed to say whether I came over offensive or hateful, the other people of this forum are. If you seriously think I came over in a way that is inapropriate for a Christian, please confirm it, and I will try to abstain from such an appearance in the future. There was a guy on firestream that wrote a really good post about how Satanic music actually helps his faith. I don't know his name, or where to find the thread, because I don't post there; but maybe Ethan or Shiv can link it here? Now I'd like to see that, please, Ethan or Shiv, link it, if you can. I must admit my reading of that post will be soaked in prejudice, but that's mainly because I can't see where the idea came from that Christian can listen to satanic music. If somebody can show me a reasonably argumentated opinion on how Christians can do just that, my negativity will probably be changed into neutrality, and I'll stop judging.

I'd be careful Vandenberg, the people around here don't like others talking badly about their Satan.

Satanic music has only the power you give it whilst sitting at home listening, doing whatever. Christians are perfectly capable of listening to such music without being mastered by it. This matter is that simple. I'd quite the whole good meat/idol meat passage, but this is the satanic music thread, not the debate of satanic music thread. Wait.........Christians? Bible? GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!! *Sacrifices 6 virgins, one for each point of the pentagram, and one for the center*

"Everything is permissible for me, but I will not be mastered by anything."
Isn't that what your saying? Isn't that what Paul is preaching against?
I'm not trying to be a preacher here, but never ever, did the thought of allowing myself to listen to satanic music ever cross my mind. I've been into metal as long as I can remember, due to influence from my older brother, and even in the times where I was an agnostic/atheïst, the tiny little bit of faith in me withheld me from listening to satanic music. My parents didn't teach me it was occult and should be avoided, even in my church nobody ever told me that, nobody bothered about what I was listening, it was my common sense that withheld me from indulging in satanic music. I'm just wondering how anybody, who claims to follow the bible, can say with straight face that we can listen to satanic music.
"Live as free man, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God"
Again, this isn't at all meant for Atheïst, but for the Christians who claim it's alright to listen to satanic music as a Christian.
By the way, thepopeoffunn did have a point, am I hijacking this thread for a off-topic discussion? Should I open a topic in the FB&O section, to discuss satanic music, or can this discussion be continued over here?
