Just living as a human being allows Satan to influence your life. Once you're at an age where you have understanding of these things, you will be faced with choices that aren't in themselves evil, but might allow evil to invade. Listening to music by a satanic band may teach you more about what you as a Christian are trying to overcome. If you aren't strong enough to resist, then you might follow in their footsteps. I personally don't listen to this music, but I think I understand why some might want to listen to it. The one thing I will never understand is how a person that calls themselves a christian can listen to lyrics that loudly blaspheme God and curse Jesus and the Bible.

Are there many satanic pop artists?

there doesn't need to be, most pop music's lyrical content is pure filth anyway.

I guess that could be said for most bands.

This thread is Satanic.
Seriously though, those posts that Ethan posted were very interesting.

What if someone finds more strength in the path of Satan than God? That doesn't file under "not being strong enough to resist", that's just going for what has made itself evident to be better.

I see your point, but just because it seems like the best choice, doesn't mean it is.

I see your point, but just because it seems like the best choice, doesn't mean it is. My point is that the entire scenario being "bad" is only ONE perspective on it

Right. It is kind of ludicrous to say that one way to view the situation is the one and only way to see it. You have to make a choice eventually... and in this case it's either God, paganism, satanism...
btw, I just bought Immolations second album, and I find the lyrics fascinating.

Satanic death metal tends to pwn a lot. Immolation, Vital Remains and Deicide especially. \m/
