Another way we use it medically is by making people hungry. If someone is undergoing an intensely stressful procedure, like chemotherapy, the idea of eating is enough to make them puke- let alone actually consuming food. So they're issued weed, and they get the munchies, and they eat.
I'm afraid I don't understand this post at all. I'm especially confused by the phrase "addicted to life". As for the problems inherent in basing your life around marijuana, they are the same problems caused by basing your life on any one thing. I hate to use such a trite cliché, but variety is the spice of life. I know plenty of people who do nothing but smoke, and they don't do anyting with their lives. They don't think; they don't get out and experience things. Their lives are just centered around the next joint, and it's pretty pathetic. That is, however, not in the least specific to marijuana. Video games do the same thing to some people, and so does reading. There's nothing wrong with partaking once in a while, as long as you don't do it all the time. It is bad for you if done frequently enough, because it changes the proportions of white and grey matter in the brain.

But he makes sense, people can become addicted to life.

If alastair ever makes sense, its only by chance that what he said happens to agree with basic logic. It is never intended to be made as a specific gesture or valid opinion that he supports, its just intended to be confusing. Which is why we all love him so much.

Alistair is everything Ithalyn wants to be.
Also, I never want to smoke marijuana, if nothing else but for the fact that I hate the feeling of being high. I've stood next to people smoking marijuana (at concerts and such) and even the feeling that I got from that was too weird and very unpleasant.
If you want to smoke it, fine. Whatever gets you off. I just don't see the point.

Close. I'd say he's more along the lines of not being stupid. If you don't like something, why do it?

I didn't get a contact high, the guy was standing literally right next to me, with his shoulder touching mine. The wind was blowing in my direction, so I got quite a large dosage of the smoke in my lungs. It wasn't really possible for me to go anywhere else, so I was kind of stuck. Typical a**hole pothead remark. Every f**king time I say "I don't want to smoke weed", I get "Oh, you're just afraid/a pussy/a faggot/etc. etc." Why is it that people who do smoke pot can't just f**k off and leave the non-smokers alone? I just said that I don't judge you for smoking it; go right ahead if you like it. Why must you judge me and mock me for deciding that I want nothing to do with it? It's that very attitude that will make me vote against marijuana legalization, should it ever come to the Arizona ballot.

I don't really know much about white and grey matter, care to expand on how that relates to video games?
